The Central Training Institute (CTI) trains key trainers of HFWTC (Medical & paramedical personnel); trainers of school health worker (male and female); district level medical and health officers and district extension/media officers; paramedical personnel working in district level including district public health nurses; personnel of area projects like Tamil Nadu Integrated Nutrition Project, Integrated Child Development Scheme, India Population Project; and personnel of NGOs.
Currently the CTI organizes programs under the following schemes:

Mother NGO scheme to promote RCH intervention

Specialised communication training centre for RCH
Middle level training centre under the ICDS scheme
Training course on National Health programs for District level Medical and Health officer
Adhoc training programs for Railway, NGOs and Health care providers of the corporations and municipalities on IEC management and AIDS prevention
